Thanks for your comments. I realize my perspective is skewed as a Mormon. As hard as I try, being a Las Vegas native, a tattooed mom of twins + 2 kids and the result of ingesting too much chocolate may skew my writing. Not to mention the Las Vegas strip and it's tacky cheesiness that runs in my blood from time to time. But I digress...
I tried to make the point, that for as many Mormons as there are, each of us will have a different perspective.
I have studied world religions and if I could, would become a full-time student of it, for life. I am fascinated at the differences of world religions are (taosim, buddism, judaism, christianity, etc) and yet how we have similar beliefs and customs. We are all part of a much greater whole.
This post was rejoicing in my Mormon-ness. I invite others to write from their own world, of their spirituality, cultural and otherwise. I enjoy hearing different perspectives. It is all music to me.
PS: Stop by for a chocolate chip waffle anytime! They are no guilt/calorie free...
PS: Yes, we love love love Ponyo. Yes please! We've seen it three times already and waiting for the weekend to see it again. Our kids are in love and so are we. Miyazaki is an genius story teller, no?
